Konya’s central Selçuklu district municipality continues to enhance its brand value with the New Generation City Library, a brand in library science in Turkey. The New Generation City Library, with its unique design and various usage areas, caters to guests of all ages. Located in the Bosnia-Herzegovina Neighborhood, the library also meets every need of book lovers with its social facilities, making it easily accessible for students.
Throughout the year, the New Generation City Library has attracted significant interest from students, reaching a total of 51,970 members, including a children’s library. Since its opening, it has been visited by 743,855 people, providing an important resource for book lovers. The library houses a total of 58,115 books, including 9,730 in the New Generation Children’s Library and 48,385 other books. The library stands out with its structure that allows students from different age groups to receive service simultaneously, supporting students’ career lives not only with its special environment and colorful design but also through social, cultural, and educational programs. The library serves as a third place where students feel comfortable after their homes and schools and organizes fun activities such as face painting and Hacıvat-Karagöz for children aged 4-6.
