Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan emphasized that he will continue to give the deserved answer to everyone who deserves it, saying, “Trabzonspor’s rights are being intentionally violated.”
Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan attended a meeting organized by the North Star Trabzonspor Association in Bahçelievler, Istanbul. North Star Trabzonspor Association President İsmail Turgut Öksüz and association members were also present at the event. President Doğan highlighted the importance of the unity and solidarity of the bordo-mavi community and emphasized the significance of the meeting. He stated that they would start to achieve the desired results together with head coach Şenol Güneş and reiterated that he stands behind his statements regarding the referral to the PFDK.
“We have full confidence in Coach Şenol”
Stating that the results obtained are not at the desired level but that they need time, President Ertuğrul Doğan said, “We have embarked on a new path with our coach Şenol Güneş. He has one of the most important coaching stories in Turkey. He has experienced championships both in Trabzonspor and in Istanbul. We cannot comment on technical or tactical matters, but we already vouch for his humanity and integrity. We have a very good relationship with him. Our coach is not happy with the results either. It is out of the question for us to be satisfied in this situation. We are also ashamed in front of the Trabzonspor fans. However, our confidence in Coach Şenol is complete. He will undoubtedly bring our community out of its current position and lead it towards the peak. This is our hope. At the end of the season, we want to finish the Super League in the best position possible.”
“Trabzonspor’s rights are being intentionally violated”
Speaking about the referral to the PFDK, President Doğan stated, “Being a Trabzonspor fan also means being the first everywhere. They have once again made us experience a first. It is not important. During my presidency, I have given everyone the answer they deserved at the place they deserved. I will continue to do so. Trabzonspor’s rights are being intentionally violated. I stand behind my words. Trabzonspor’s struggle has been ongoing for years. It will continue as well. It was like this when the Trabzonspor legend was being created, and it is still like this now. I regret to say that it will continue to be this way in the future. However, as long as all Trabzonspor fans are united, we somehow manage to overcome these issues. We will continue to cope with these situations in the future. We will continue to monitor referee errors as well. We will keep saying what is necessary where it is needed.”
“We strongly condemn the situation that occurred”
Regarding the incident involving former Trabzonspor goalkeeper Tolga Zengin, Ertuğrul Doğan said, “I spoke with our brother Tolga Zengin. We discussed whether there was anything we could do. I asked him to inform us about the issue. Tolga has always defended Trabzon’s rights with his stance and being from Trabzon. However, such things always happen to us when our rights are being defended. There is no response to the comments made by opponents in similar situations. Just like everywhere else in Turkey, there is a biased situation here as well. As a community, we strongly condemn the situation that occurred. Trabzonspor will also have a response to the broadcaster in due course.”
“Let it be a match where neither club’s rights are violated”
Speaking about the Çaykur Rizespor match they will play away this evening in the 12th week of the Trendyol Super League, Doğan said, “We have a match with our neighboring city Çaykur Rizespor this evening. Our opponent has a very valuable president. I talked to him yesterday; the two cities are siblings, neighbors. We do not even think about the slightest bad situation occurring between us. Such things are discussed, but our management has a very important, sincere bond with the opposing club. They are also sensitive to this situation. Today, I hope it will be a match where the deserving wins, the referee does not interfere with the result in any way, and neither club’s rights are violated.” He concluded his words.
