The Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EİB) announced that they signed an export of 1 billion 619 million dollars in October, with an increase of 3.6%, while EİB managed to increase its export in October 2023, which was 1 billion 466 million dollars, by 10%. According to the shared data, the export figures of Aydın for October 2024 have also been revealed. Aydın, which has many export products ranging from olives to figs, saw its export figures rise from 93.6 million dollars in September to approximately 111.4 million dollars in October, reflecting an increase of about 19%. The total export of the Aegean region in October was 2 billion 816 million dollars, with Aydın surpassing October with its export of 111.4 million dollars.
Dried fruit exporters shifted up a gear
Dried fruits, which are listed among healthy foods by the World Health Organization, are exported all around the world by the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association (EKMİB). With the start of the 2024/25 season, EKMİB is experiencing a busy period in exports of seedless dried grapes, dried apricots, and dried figs. EKMİB increased its export from 122 million dollars in October to 144 million dollars by shifting up a gear in exports.
Olive and olive oil exports became the export increase champion
Entering the 2024/25 season with an olive oil harvest of 475 thousand tons and table olive harvest of 750 thousand tons, the Aegean Olive and Olive Oil Exporters’ Association (EZZİB) raised its exports from 30 million dollars to 45.3 million dollars in October, marking a 51% increase. With this performance, EZZİB became the export increase champion within EİB in October and signaled new export records to be broken in the upcoming months.
