Nimet Aydın, who works as a laboratory technician at Manisa Merkezefendi State Hospital, is proud to work together with her son Erdem Aydın, who has been appointed as a doctor at the same hospital.

Nimet Aydın, who has been working as a laboratory technician in Manisa since 1991 and is currently employed at Merkezefendi State Hospital, experienced both pride and joy with the appointment of her son Erdem Aydın, a graduate of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, to the same hospital, where she has always supported him in his education. Although they do not work in the same departments, Nimet Aydın, whose son Erdem Aydın is an Emergency Department Physician, sees his name in the laboratory computers when he requests tests for the patients, and she does not forget to share this happiness with those around her.

Expressing that it is a wonderful feeling to work at the same hospital as her son, Nimet Aydın said, “I started working as a laboratory technician at Manisa Maternity Hospital in 1991. My son was appointed here this year. He was appointed as a general practitioner in the emergency department. It is a very nice feeling to work together. I hope everyone gets to experience this. Since he works in the emergency department, I don’t go to him much. I don’t want to disturb him while he is on duty. But when he requests tests on the computer, I see his name. I am very happy that it is a nice hospital and that my son has the opportunity to work here.”

Erdem Aydın, who is a General Practitioner, stated that his mother has informed him about the hospital operations and has been helpful in every way, saying, “I graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in June 2024. This is my first place of duty. I started on September 10. I have been on duty here since October 1. I chose this place because my mother is here. My family is here. My mother helped me during the adaptation process. She made sure I was informed about the operations of the hospital. Sometimes I request tests. My mother sees my name too. I am happy; it is nice to work together.”

Dr. Özlem Susur, Deputy Chief Physician of Merkezefendi State Hospital, stated that they work in a family atmosphere, saying, “We are a family. In fact, there is a family environment in our hospital. At the same time, it is very nice to have such a family. It is a great pleasure to work with them. They are very good in every respect, and I hope their paths remain open from now on. We continue to work together. We host many families.”
