Medipol Health Group has achieved great success in the field of international health tourism. The Group has reached a partnership agreement with the Bahrain Royal Health Services, which is affiliated with the Bahrain Ministry of Defense. Over the past year, Medipol Health Group, which has treated over 35,000 patients from 153 different countries, has taken a new step in international health tourism. Through the agreement with the Bahrain Royal Health Services, the Group has opened the doors to a new era in the healthcare sector. The Bahrain Royal Health Services, with a capacity of over 400 beds, is the second largest healthcare service provider in the Kingdom of Bahrain. With close to 4,000 doctors and staff, this system has the largest primary care physicians, outpatient treatment center, and hospital network in the region. Additionally, it offers services such as specialized care physicians, skilled nursing, elderly health, behavioral health, rehabilitation, and home care services. The signing ceremony, where the details of the agreement were conveyed, was attended by Medipol Health Group’s Operations Director Ozer Koca, Assistant Operations Director Dr. Uygar Üstün, Head of Bone Marrow Center (Adult) / Hematology Department Prof. Dr. Leylagül Kaynar, Bahrain Royal Health Services representative Major General Dr. Sheikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalif, and Dr. Semir Ferrahoğlu. Within the framework of this collaboration, new hospitals will be established in the Kingdom of Bahrain, various medical specialties will be introduced, and joint efforts will be made in medical education and technical infrastructure establishment. Following the partnership ceremony, representatives of Medipol Health Group were hosted by Bahrain Royal Health Services at an event held at the Royal Golf Club. After the event, all hospitals and health centers affiliated with the Royal Health Services were visited, and Major General Dr. Fuad Abdul Qader Saeed, Executive Director of Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialist Center, introduced the latest technologies and medical devices at the center. Colonel Dr. Sheikh Salman bin Muhammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Commander of King Hamad University Hospital, accompanied the Medipol Health Group delegation during the tour of the hospital’s medical departments and the Bahrain Oncology Center. Among the primary goals of the collaboration are the establishment of Bone Marrow Transplant Center, Oncology and Hematology units, sharing of medical experience in Radiation Oncology, Oncological Surgery, Organ Transplantation, and Parkinson’s Surgery (DBS) branches. Additionally, the treatment of diseases that cannot be treated in Bahrain in Turkey is also planned. This collaboration, aiming to meet the healthcare needs of the 1.56 million population of the Kingdom of Bahrain, will establish an important bridge in the healthcare sector between the two countries. It is anticipated that this agreement between Medipol Health Group and Bahrain Royal Health Services will enhance the quality of healthcare services in both countries and play a significant role in health tourism.
