Turgutlu Municipality has implemented a salary increase of 24.73% for employees working under Personnel A.Ş. based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement signed with the Municipal Workers Union on January 1, 2024.

As part of the collective bargaining agreement signed between Turgutlu Municipality and the Municipal Workers Union in January, an improvement in salaries was applied. Due to the inflation increase and economic crisis experienced nationwide, a salary increase of 24.73% was applied to the salaries of employees working under Personnel A.Ş., making the monthly minimum wage, including fringe benefits, 25,411 TL. Thus, the minimum wage that employees of Turgutlu Municipality Personnel A.Ş. will receive exceeded the minimum wage by 8,409 TL.

The salary increase was announced by Orhan Eratıcı, the General Manager of Turgutlu Municipality Personnel A.Ş., and Devrim Dinçer, the Chairman of the Municipal Workers Union Manisa Branch.

“We promised to make an increase equal to the inflation difference”

Despite the inflation increase and economic crisis, Turgutlu Mayor Çetin Akın stated that they will continue to maintain the living standards of municipal personnel, saying, “Based on the collective bargaining agreement signed between our municipality and the Municipal Workers Union on January 1, 2024, we promised to make an increase equal to the inflation difference that will occur in civil servant salaries in July. In the face of the economic crisis and inflation in our country, we have increased the salaries of our colleagues working under Personnel A.Ş. by 24.73% to maintain their welfare level. We will always continue to protect the living conditions of our colleagues. I wish all our colleagues the best.”
