Graduation Celebration at Toros University

Toros University crowned the 2023-2024 academic year with a spirited graduation ceremony. Founder of the Board of Trustees Ali Özveren, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Sertaç Özveren, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Arıöz, board of trustees members, deans, academicians, students, and their families attended the ceremony held at Servet Tazegül Sports Hall. The ceremony, where 1060 students graduated, began with the procession of the graduating students. In his opening speech at the ceremony, Student Council President Eren Arslan expressed, “Today, we are all experiencing the pride and excitement of graduation together. On behalf of my friends, I would like to express my infinite thanks to our families, teachers, and all supporters who believed in us and stood by us at every step of this journey.” Toros University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Arıöz addressed the students in his speech, saying, “Dear students, the effort and diligence you have shown for 4 years are now culminating here. You will carry the light of our university into the future. I wish you continued success throughout your lives. Remember, Toros University will always be your home.” Following the speech, Arıöz participated in a visual show supporting the National Team along with the students of Toros University.

“You are the pride of Toros University” Founder of the Board of Trustees Ali Özveren also congratulated the students for their success, stating, “Today is a day where you reap the rewards of years of effort and sacrifice. You are the pride of Toros University. After your graduation, always set high goals and work diligently to achieve them. My advice to you at this important turning point in your life is to always remain open to learning and work resolutely to achieve your goals. I wish you all success in your future endeavors.” Following the opening speeches, symbolic diplomas were presented to the graduated students by the academicians. The graduation ceremony, which hosted great enthusiasm and excitement, ended with throwing of caps.

Support to the National Team from Toros University At the ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Arıöz and the students presented a magnificent visual show in support of the National Team. The surprise by Rector Arıöz at Servet Tazegül Sports Hall during the graduation ceremony received great applause. At the end of his opening speech, Arıöz surprised the participants by appearing on stage in the national team jersey. Alongside light shows, Rector Arıöz and the students announced the names of national football players one by one, creating a festive atmosphere by taking a three-way selfie with the entire stands. Participants also joined in this excitement, turning the hall into a festive place.

Wishing success to the National Team on their path to victory, Rector Arıöz expressed his support for the team, who will compete against the Netherlands in the quarterfinals on Saturday, July 6th.
