It was reported that the additional building of Kütahya Design Technopark, which is nearing the completion of landscaping works and reaching the temporary acceptance stage with a cost of approximately 95 million TL, will have the capacity to attract 90 new R&D firms to Kütahya. AK Party Provincial Chairman Mustafa Önsay and Member of Parliament Ismail Çağlar Bayırcı visited Kütahya Design Technopark. Dr. Durmuş Özdemir, inspected the construction site after the meeting. The additional building of Kütahya Design Technopark, which will cost approximately 95 million TL, will have the capacity to attract 90 new R&D firms to Kütahya. The total leasable area inside the building was planned as 2,239.72 square meters. 62 square meters of this area was designed as an incubation office for incubation firms, and 42 square meters were designed as a pre-incubation office targeting students studying in the city. The building, which is nearing the completion of landscaping works and reaching the temporary acceptance stage, will serve the city with 2 laboratories, 2 workshops, 6 sales offices, an 80-person dining hall, male and female mosques, a 100-person conference hall, and a 20-person additional meeting room. Currently, there are 48 R&D firms and 12 incubation firms operating under Kütahya Design Technopark. With the opening of the new additional building, it is expected that this capacity will reach close to 150 firms. The total domestic R&D revenue of the current firms is 2,349,557.68 TL, and it is anticipated that this revenue will increase exponentially with the increase in capacity due to the additional building, thus making a positive contribution to Kütahya’s employment.
