Vodafone has announced that it offers international communication solutions suitable for every need with its renewed international packages valid in 200 countries. To meet the initial communication needs abroad, all postpaid customers are granted a free ‘Welcome Abroad Gift’. Red customers have saved a total of 502 million TL in the last year with special benefits offered to them.

Vodafone Red continues to offer innovative products and services to its customers. Vodafone Red has announced a new ‘Welcome Abroad Gift’ package that will be automatically loaded to all postpaid customers, which will be sufficient to meet the urgent communication needs at the first landing abroad. This free package, renewed monthly in each billing cycle and valid for 30 days in 200 countries, includes 250 MB of internet, 5 minutes of calls, 2 SMS. The 250 MB of internet in the ‘Welcome Abroad Gift’ is equivalent to a 4-hour WhatsApp call and a 40-minute video call when other applications are not used in the background. Customers traveling abroad during Eid al-Adha holiday saved a total of 21 million TL by benefiting from this package.

Two new international packages
According to the announcement, the ‘All-Inclusive Passport’ which allows using the GB, minutes, and SMS rights in the tariff as if in Turkey while abroad will now be valid in 200 countries instead of 131. In addition to the ‘All-Inclusive Passport’, the operator has developed two new additional package options named ‘International 1 GB’ and ‘International 3 GB’. The ‘International 1 GB’ package includes 1 GB of internet, 15 minutes of calls, 10 SMS rights; whereas the ‘International 3 GB’ package includes 3 GB of internet, 30 minutes of calls, 15 SMS rights.

Free customer services abroad
Customers experiencing problems with their line while abroad can find a solution by texting ‘RED’ to the operator and being instantly called back by special customer representatives. At the same time, customers calling Vodafone Customer Services while abroad can instantly connect to a customer representative without any waiting and receive support free of charge.

‘We offer privileges tailored to our customers’ lifestyles’
Speaking at the meeting where the last year of Vodafone Red was evaluated, Vodafone Turkey Deputy CEO Meltem Bakiler Şahin said:
‘We value benefiting from the developments in digitalization in customer experience and offering personalized and consistent experiences to each of our customers. Vodafone Red brand plays an important role in individuals’ digitalization. Red is not just a world consisting of tariffs. While meeting the end-to-end communication needs of our customers, we offer many privileges in many areas such as travel, transportation, entertainment, and dining. I must emphasize that our international privileges are very appealing. This year, we made some innovations in roaming. ‘All-Inclusive Passport’ is now valid in 200 countries instead of 131. We offer ‘Welcome Abroad Gift’ that will be automatically loaded to all our postpaid customers. We have developed two new additional package options named ‘International 1 GB’ and ‘International 3 GB’. We offer our customers the opportunity to call Vodafone Customer Services free of charge when they experience problems with their line while abroad; this service used to be paid. A total of 502 million TL worth of privileges provided in the last year
According to the announcement, Red continues to contribute to the country’s economy with the cost advantage it provides. Red customers were provided with a total of 502 million TL worth of privileges. During this period, Red customers used approximately 3.3 billion GB of mobile internet, talked for 62.8 billion minutes, sent 2.2 billion SMS. In addition, Red customers freely used a total of 272 million GB of internet in the most popular applications without additional charges, thanks to the unlimited applications in their tariffs. Red customers, whose mobile internet usage increased by 34% compared to a year ago, used 5.3 times more internet than a regular postpaid tariff user. The monthly average data usage of Red customers exceeded 21 GB.

81% of the segment actively visits Yanımda
In the last year, 81% of Red customers actively visited Vodafone Yanımda every month, performing their transactions digitally through this application. Red customers visited Yanımda 15 times a month on average, interacting with the application every 2 days. Red customers visited the digital assistant TOBi 1.5 times more than other customers, conducting their transactions digitally and interactively. On the other hand, 33% of Red sales came from digital channels. Red customers saved nearly 33 million TL in a year thanks to discounted tariffs exclusive to online channels.

Red customers used 272 million GB of internet without additional charges
Red customers freely used a total of 272 million GB of internet thanks to the privilege of unlimited applications in their tariffs. Red users used approximately 65 million GB in messaging applications; a total of 197 million GB in social media applications; approximately 4.6 million GB in music applications; approximately 5.3 million GB in video applications; and over 238,000 GB in entertainment applications. Approximately 173,000 subscribers benefited from the 3-month free YouTube Premium membership offered to new Red customers or those renewing their Red tariffs, resulting in a total benefit of 25 million TL.

Red customers talked for 5.2 million minutes for free abroad
Red customers are offered various privileges abroad as well. In the last year, a total of over 56.9 thousand Red customers made a total of 5.2 million minutes of free calls by calling 23 Vodafone countries just like calling Turkey with the minutes in their tariffs. The top 5 countries Red customers mostly called were Germany, Northern Cyprus, France, the Netherlands, Greece, and Egypt. On the other hand, more than 245 thousand people used the ‘All-Inclusive Passport’ service that allows them to freely use voice, internet, and SMS rights in 200 countries just like in Turkey. Vodafone Red customers saved a total of 379 million TL thanks to the privileges offered for both usage abroad and communication with their relatives abroad.

Brand collaborations were used 346 thousand times
Red customers can benefit from gifts and discounts in the most exclusive brands. Brand collaborations of Red were used a total of 346 thousand times in the last year, creating benefits of over 65 million TL for customers. An average of 188 TL was saved per customer. Red customers parked their cars for a total of 342 thousand hours for free with free parking at İspark, saving 8 million TL; they received discounted fuel 30 thousand times with a value of 100 TL at Opet, saving 3 million TL; they used free transfers to Istanbul Airport with Havaist 12 thousand times, saving 800 thousand TL; they rented vehicles with a 40% discount a total of 37 thousand times with Budget, saving 37 million TL; they entered the beach with a 50% discount 8 thousand times, saving 2.4 million TL.

In the new period, Red continues to offer entertainment, brand collaborations, and international privileges to its customers with the motto ‘Enrich life with Vodafone Red’s summer privileges’. Red customers are offered gifts and discounts related to many beaches, restaurants, car rentals, and transportation.
