Later, in the program that continued on Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Boulevard, after a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, the Republic Day congratulatory message from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was read.
After the ceremony, Denizli Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun spoke from the podium and stated that the citizens were celebrating the 29th of October Republic Day, saying, “On May 19, 1919, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk landed in Samsun, initiating the National Struggle, and declared the Republic on October 29, 1923, stating that the Republic administration is the most suitable for the character and traditions of the Turkish nation. The Republic is the greatest legacy left to the Turkish nation. The determination and unwavering will of the Turkish nation to sustain the Republic will guide us in overcoming all difficulties. It is our common duty to work, struggle, and, when necessary, make sacrifices to protect our Republic, which Atatürk called my greatest work, for the future of our country and our nation. Working in unity of hands and hearts is our debt of gratitude to our martyrs and veterans who gifted us this heavenly homeland. With these feelings and thoughts, I commemorate with respect and gratitude our martyrs and heroic veterans who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the homeland, flag, and independence, especially the founder of our Republic, Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and his comrades. I congratulate all our citizens on the 29th of October Republic Day,” he said.
