Artvin’s quiet town district of Şavşat, which is known as a slow city, organized a spring trip with Off-Road vehicles to introduce its historical sites and natural beauties. As part of the event organized in collaboration with the Artvin Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism and Off-Road Sports Club, social media content creators living in Artvin and surrounding provinces visited the tourist spots of the city, taking photos and videos. Supported by Artvin and Şavşat Off-Road clubs, the event included visits to natural and historical tourist spots such as Şavşat Castle, Tibet Church, Balık Lake, Fairy Chimneys, Karagöl. Participants had the opportunity to see the historical and natural beauties of the district by passing through challenging roads while experiencing the excitement of off-road driving. As the spring season arrived, the flourishing nature amazed everyone, and the participants had a fun time. Artvin Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism, Yunus Emre Aytekin, stated in his remarks about the event, ‘Şavşat is already one of the most beautiful districts of our province, which is the pearl of the Eastern Black Sea, offering us many elements together with its greenery, nature, and history. Şavşat has so much beauty that we cannot explore in a single day, but at least with such small programs, our main goal is to create social media interaction and promote our province in this way.’ Artvin Off-Road Sports Club President Zafer Sinir also commented, ‘This is an organization we have carried out to introduce Artvin’s historical natural beauties and tourism spots. Currently, we have organized this event with 26 vehicles from Artvin and 13 vehicles from Şavşat. We are doing everything we can to introduce these unique beauties to people.’ Social media content creator Oktay Sarıkaya said that they take photos and videos of the places they visit and share the natural beauties with their followers.
