Düzce Atatürk State Hospital’s Technical Service team became the champion of the football tournament held for the first time this year by the units of the hospital. The champion team received their trophy from the Health Director Dr. Yasin Yılmaz. In order to increase solidarity among the employees and to help the staff get away from intense work stress at Düzce Atatürk State Hospital, 10 different teams consisting of hospital staff were established. These teams competed in a football tournament between the units. In the final matches, which were intense, Technical Service faced Anesthesia Intensive Care Unit. The match, officiated by Düzce referee Ahmet Şahin, ended 2-2 in regular time. Technical Service won the championship trophy by defeating Anesthesia Intensive Care Unit 4-3 in penalties. The third place in the tournament was taken by Muncurlu Physical Therapy Football Team. After the final match, the Provincial Health Director Dr. Yasin Yılmaz presented the championship trophy to the Technical Service Team and congratulated each player of both teams. Yasin Yılmaz thanked all the teams participating in the tournament, stating that ‘This year’s first Düzce Atatürk State Hospital inter-unit football tournament was a great organization aimed at increasing the motivation of our hospital staff, strengthening communication and friendship bonds among the staff. We are also happy that fair play and sportsmanship were at a high level in the tournament. The intense participation in the tournament, the matches held with excitement similar to league games and crowded stands also provided us with positive feedback from our staff. I would like to thank the Düzce Atatürk State Hospital Management who organized the tournament, all the teams, athletes, referees, and everyone involved in the tournament.’
