MURGEM achieves 83% success in YKS

83% of the students preparing for the university entrance exam at the free Muratpaşa Youth Training Center (MURGEM) of Muratpaşa Municipality in Antalya gained the right to choose 4-year faculties. At the same time, 2 students achieved success by ranking in the top 5 thousand in the verbal score type, while a total of 8 students ranked in the top 20 thousand according to different score types.

Opened in 2015 in Kızılsaray Neighborhood in Antalya, MURGEM continues to turn students’ dreams into reality by preparing them for university. In the 2023-2024 academic year, 589 students prepared for the university entrance exam at MURGEM. In the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) held on 8-9 June this year, with over 3 million 120 thousand students participating, 8 students of MURGEM achieved success by ranking in the top 20 thousand. MURGEM, which had 6 students in different score types in the top 20 thousand last year, increased its success rate by increasing the number of students to 8 this year.

There are 2 students in the top 5 thousand

In the verbal score type, 2 students ranked in the top 5 thousand, with Hazar Selimoğlu being the highest-ranking student of MURGEM with a ranking of 1273. Following Selimoğlu, Selen Onur ranked 4,664th in the verbal score type, and Miraç Yıldırım ranked 7,551st. Onur Ege Koç, who ranked 10,634th in the numerical score type, became the 4th highest-ranking student of MURGEM, while Zeynep Erdem, who ranked 11,000th in the equal weight score type, ranked 5th.

They can benefit from counseling services

According to the YKS results, 83% of MURGEM students gained the right to choose 4-year faculties. In addition, 20% of the students can choose medical faculties at the 50 thousand threshold, 30% can choose dentistry faculties at the 80 thousand threshold. While 48% of the students gained the right to choose engineering faculties, 35% to law and psychology areas, 80% of the students can choose faculties of science, literature, and education. Moreover, during the preference process that will continue between July 25 and August 2, MURGEM students will be able to benefit from counseling services.
