Following the announcement, citizens living in the city showed intense interest in the restaurant where the doner would be sold, forming a queue meters long. On the night when the queue lasted for hours, nearly 500 kilograms of doner were consumed. The Operator Halil İbrahim Demirtaş expressed his happiness due to the intense interest of the citizens, stating that they have been operating in the city since 2019, ‘We organized a nice campaign. We made a campaign offering 100 grams for 100 TL as a special offer for our fifth year. We organize various campaigns both as a business and as a company. We were the first to bring night doner to Trabzon. During the period we implemented the concept of night doner, we received very positive feedback from our customers. Taking advantage of this positive feedback, we wanted to crown our fifth year with this campaign. Our doner master is one of the best doner masters in Trabzon, we call him ‘Doner Chef Celal Baba’. We are making efforts to bring his leaf meat doner together with all of Trabzon. The crowd here is an indicator of how delicious our doner is.’ Celal Şen, the doner master, thanked the citizens for their interest, ‘I am Doner Chef Celal Baba. This is my 45-year-old profession. As long as there is demand from people, we will try to respond to their demands as much as we can. When we started cutting, it was 400 kilos, we sold a third, and we continue to cut. The crowd loves us, and we love them too. Our product’s quality is evident, thank to our citizens for choosing us. We are happy with them.’ Fatmanur Altıntaş, who stated that she came to the restaurant for the first time, said, ‘We heard about the campaign, so we came. We were very satisfied, and we will come again later. The doner is very nice and very delicious. You cannot eat such a doner in Trabzon elsewhere. I recommend this place to everyone. Even if there was no campaign, we would still come.’ Saying that she came for the first time upon recommendation, Semra Yazıcı said, ‘I randomly bought a lot of doner. I had never seen such a price before. Prices are over 200-250 TL everywhere. This quality at this price is very nice. I had never eaten such a doner, it is very nice, I recommend it to everyone.’ Ahmad Sezgin Gülay, one of the citizens waiting in line, stated that he saw the campaign advertisement on social media and said, ‘Actually, we came to see this environment. Doner was a bit of an excuse. The atmosphere is very nice and fun, there are treats. We thought about going back because the line was very long, then we decided to wait a little longer. We have moved forward a bit, and we are close to getting the doner.’ After receiving his doner when it was his turn, Gülay expressed that it tasted very good later on, ‘Thanks to this campaign, we had the opportunity to see the concept of night doner. Trabzon used to catch up with these trends late. There were no such places. Therefore, it was a good alternative for us. I would like such things to be continuous. It is definitely worth staying in line for this price, especially when we consider the prices of meals outside, this price is quite reasonable.’
