Every year, Adıyaman’s Kahta-Sincik highway hosts storks. With the arrival of spring, storks migrating to the region prefer to build their nests on the electricity poles along the Kahta-Sincik highway. The electricity poles near the Kahta Stream in this area also become the favorites of storks.

Kahta Stream surrounds this highway, drawing attention as it lies on the migration route of the storks. Tourists passing through the region show great interest when they see this natural habitat of storks. Locally, this road is called the ‘stork road’.

Davut Tilki, a local resident, explains the situation as follows: “You can see storks on the electricity poles along the Kahta-Sincik highway. Among us locals, we call this place the ‘stork road’. Tourists, on the other hand, can’t help but take photos when they see this magnificent view.”
