The 3rd International 18th National Office Management and Secretarial Congress supported by TÜBİTAK and hosted by Bartın University will be held with the theme ‘New Business Models and Sustainability in Office Management’. Bartın University’s application to the 2223/B-Domestic Scientific Event Organization Support Program carried out by TÜBİTAK Science Human Support Programs Directorate (BİDEB) has been accepted. BİDEB, which supports events organized domestically to bring together scientists and industry representatives to share knowledge and experiences and evaluate scientific studies, approved and included Bartın University Ulus Vocational School Office Services and Secretarial Program in the support scope. As a result, academicians, secretaries, executive assistants, and students studying to pursue this profession in various higher education institutions in Turkey will come together under the roof of Bartın University. The ‘Office Management and Secretarial Congress’ (BÜROKON) organized by Bartın University Ulus Vocational School Office Services and Secretarial Program will take place on November 1-2, 2024. Providing information about the congress, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şükrü Teoman Güner, the Director of Bartın University Ulus Vocational School, stated: ‘The 3rd International 18th National Office Management and Secretarial Congress will be held with the main theme of ‘New Business Models and Sustainability in Office Management’ aiming to apply the sustainability spread throughout our lives and evolving technologies to new business models in office management. We aim for an event where scientists and industry representatives can share their knowledge, expertise, and experiences, focusing on the impact of digitalization and artificial intelligence on office management and work life, as well as evaluating the responsibilities of executive assistants regarding ‘Sustainable Development Goals’. I would like to thank our Rector, Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun, who always supports us and all our academic and administrative staff who contribute to the organization with their dedicated work.’ Expressing his satisfaction with Bartın University hosting the congress organized for the development of office management and secretarial field, Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun said: ‘This year, we will host the Office Management and Secretarial Congress, where technological transformations in office management, new approaches, and practices will be discussed. We will host scientists and industry representatives from different universities, evaluating the studies conducted in the integration of digitalization and sustainability into the field. I thank our Director of Ulus Vocational School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şükrü Teoman Güner, and all our contributors for their efforts in organizing the congress at our University.
