Graduation excitement experienced in Bilecik

The graduation ceremony for the 2023-2024 academic year was held at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University. The graduation ceremony, which took place at the university’s stadium, started with the procession of students. Following that, a moment of silence was observed and the National Anthem was sung. Then, the valedictorian Gulnur Yıldız, spoke on behalf of the graduating students, saying, ‘I am greatly excited and proud to make this speech on behalf of the graduates today. We are concluding the journey we started as fresh students five years ago by graduating here today. We successfully leave behind the exhausting exams, finals, assignments, and presentation preparations. Since learning is an activity that continues throughout one’s life, it would not be correct to say that our learning life is over.’ Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Rector Prof. Dr. Kaplancıklı, in his speech, addressed the families, saying, ‘Be proud of your children. From our university named after Şeyh Edebali who guided us with the advice ‘Know knowledge, know wisdom, know words,’ they are graduating as the guarantee of our country’s bright future, equipped with scientific knowledge, high ethical and moral values, and knowledgeable individuals in knowledge, wisdom, and words. You have been by your children’s side and supported them throughout their educational lives. Now, we are all sharing in the happiness of your children together.’ Following the speeches, the ceremony continued with folk dance shows, award presentations to students who excelled in faculties and vocational schools, engraving of names in the graduate registry. Finally, the ceremony ended with the graduates throwing their caps in the air with joy. Bilecik Deputy Governor Akgün Corav, CHP Bilecik Deputy Yaşar Tüzün, Gendarmerie Training Commander Brig. Gen. Uğur Ertekin, Bilecik Provincial Police Chief Beyti Kalaycı, Bilecik Mayor Melek Mızrak Subaşı, academic and administrative staff, and many families attended the ceremony.
