The Republican People’s Party (CHP) Kayseri Provincial Presidency made a statement regarding the events in Kayseri, calling for common sense among the citizens.

The statement from CHP Kayseri Provincial Presidency includes the following statements:

“We are closely following the events taking place in our province with great sorrow. Such incidents disrupt social peace and threaten everyone’s security. We regret to state that these events create unrest in society and undermine the sense of security. In this context, we call on our fellow citizens in Kayseri to act with common sense and calmness. We kindly ask them to be cautious against provocations. Our security forces and law enforcement agencies are making great efforts to ensure the peace and security of the society while intervening in the events. We would like to remind the people of Kayseri to be more careful and considerate towards the security forces and law enforcement agencies intervening in the events during this process. Being sensitive towards our security forces is of great importance for the protection of the life and property security of our citizens. It is necessary for the security forces to act in compliance with legal regulations, respecting human rights, and in a proportionate manner while fulfilling their duties for social peace. We expect all citizens and authorities to show necessary sensitivity, to act with restraint without falling into provocations, and to support the work of our security forces. We assure the public that we will protect the rights of citizens who are taken into custody without any illegal actions while going out to protect their workplaces or to go to work, and we will follow up on the process with respect to the public.”
