Progress rate in the new market building is 87 percent

The progress rate of the new modern market building constructed in Çayırova has reached 87% due to the inadequacy of the current state. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, aiming to deliver healthy, reliable, and quality agricultural products to a wide range of people, is nearing the end in the construction of a modern fruit and vegetable market in the Gebze region, which will bring a new perspective to the sector. Responding to the inadequacy of the existing market in Gebze by deciding to move it to a larger area, the metropolitan municipality, showing that it stands by the tradesmen and citizens in every aspect of life, is rapidly continuing the work in the new market building built on a 25,000 square meter area in Çayırova Cumhuriyet Mahallesi. The market building, which is of great importance for the Gebze region, is approaching completion. Inside the new modern market building constructed in Çayırova due to the inadequacy of the current state, there are 34 shops and crate warehouses with a size of 120 square meters. The progress rate of the work under the administration of the Building Control Department has reached 87%. In this context, while the teams approaching the end of the travertine cladding on the exterior of Block A, continue the concrete stormwater channel production in front of Blocks A, B, C, and D, they also carry on ceramic cladding on the 1st floor of Block A, interior plaster painting, block mechanical installations, and electrical works at the project site. The contractor firm, which is about to complete the roof of Block E and the entrance roof over the scale, is intensively working on other installations. The modern market building, which will eliminate the parking problem with a 68-truck park and a 63-vehicle spacious parking area, is being built to meet all kinds of needs. In the market building, there will also be association rooms and offices, technical volumes, mosque, toilets, a buffet, a barber shop, a restaurant, and a tea house.
