Minister Osman Aşkın Bak: ‘We are expecting everyone to be in front of the screen tomorrow for the national team’s match’

Citizens and protocol came together at the Eid celebration ceremony in Rize. Minister of Youth and Sports, Osman Aşkın Bak, who attended the Eid celebration, made statements regarding the agenda.

On the second day of Eid al-Adha, citizens and protocol gathered at the 15th of July Democracy and Republic Square to celebrate the holiday. After the celebration, protocol members dressed in aprons and distributed roasted meat and rice to the citizens. A large number of citizens attended the Eid celebration ceremony held in a tent set up by Rize Municipality. Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, Rize Governor Ihsan Selim Baydaş, Rize Member of Parliament Harun Mertoğlu, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Ali Güngör, Rize Mayor Rahmi Metin, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Yılmaz, deputy governors, Provincial Police Chief Murat Türesin, General Manager of ÇAYKUR Yusuf Ziya Alim, President of Rize Commodity Exchange Mehmet Erdoğan, political party representatives, and citizens attended the Eid celebration program. Minister Bak, who attended the Eid celebration, made statements regarding the agenda.

Minister of Youth and Sports, Osman Aşkın Bak, emphasized the importance of holidays for everyone, stating, ‘For us, this holiday is passing with a sense of melancholy. The genocide in Gaza deeply saddens us. This oppression must come to an end. Our President continues his contacts on this issue. We were in Spain and Italy 3 days ago. We met with world leaders. Hopefully, that oppression will also come to an end. Of course, the organization of Eid celebration is important for our Rize. We come together. Religious holidays are very important. They are important holidays that keep us together and protect our values. The European Football Championship started with the match between Germany and Scotland. Our citizens are watching it on TV. Tomorrow, our national team has a match. They will play against Georgia at 7:00 pm. We invite everyone to watch in front of the screen. Tickets in Germany are sold out. There is a great interest there as well. Of course, Turkish citizens living in Germany and Europe are also participating. The Olympics are very important for us. We are also working on the Paris Olympics. Rizespor had a successful season last season. I wish them success in the upcoming season as well. My colleagues are working intensively.
