A young bear cub, believed to be lost in the forested area near Gürpınar village in Bolu’s Göynük district, embarked on a great adventure. The cub, climbing up a tree in fear upon seeing passing vehicles, surprised the onlookers.
The Moment Captured on Camera
The driver of a student shuttle noticed the bear cub while driving around and informed the village headman Metin Keskin about the situation. When the village headman arrived at the scene, he saw the young bear climbing a tree at a height of about 15 meters. The scared cub’s climb up the tree was captured second by second on a mobile phone camera.
Nature Conservation and National Parks Branch Takes Action
Upon seeing the young bear stranded in the tree, village headman Metin Keskin reported the situation to the Nature Conservation and National Parks Branch. The teams took action to safely rescue the young bear.
