Trendyol, bringing Turkish producers and sellers together with global markets through its new generation e-commerce experience, has announced the e-export data for the month of May. Local sellers exported approximately 2 million ‘Made in Turkey’ labeled products across borders during this period. They received the most orders in the world markets for textile and home products.

Local producers and sellers who opened up to the global markets by conducting e-exports through Trendyol continued their successful sales performance in May. According to the data for May on the e-commerce platform, Turkish sellers brought around 2 million products to overseas markets through e-exports. Textile and home products stood out as the product groups receiving the most orders. Local sellers met the demand for t-shirts in Azerbaijan, sets in the Gulf region, and dresses in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and DACH (Germany and Austria) regions. Apart from textiles, the products that received the highest demand were pans, storage containers, and mattress protectors. Azerbaijan and the Gulf region showed the most interest in Turkish products. The cities where ‘Made in Turkey’ labeled products were sold the most were Baku, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dubai, and Bucharest.

Bursa, standing out in e-exports
Trendyol led the way in May among the cities opening up to international markets through the e-commerce experience it provides. Bursa was followed by Adana, Gaziantep, Denizli, and Mersin.

Mega May Impact in Azerbaijan
Within the scope of the end-to-end services provided for e-exports, the e-commerce platform continued to support local producers and sellers with campaigns. With the impact of the Mega May campaign towards Azerbaijan, approximately 1 million products were sold from Turkey to Azerbaijan.

In the past year, the e-commerce platform turned over 90,000 sellers into e-exporters with its micro-export solutions. Local businesses conducting e-exports with Trendyol achieved an export volume of $650 million in 2023. The e-commerce platform had previously won the championship in the e-export category at the ‘Export Champions Award Ceremony’ organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM).
