Konya Metropolitan Municipality is ready for the Feast of Sacrifice

Konya Metropolitan Municipality has taken necessary measures for a smooth celebration of Eid al-Adha in Konya.

The Konya Metropolitan Municipality will provide transfer services in public transportation for the residents of Konya who want to reach the new animal market in Boruktolu neighborhood. Passengers who want to reach the New Animal Market can use the free transfer services departing every hour from Kaşınhanı Bus Departure Point (Kaşınhanı Last Stop) on June 13-14-15 and 16, starting from Alaaddin and Kültürpark stops with bus lines 26, 91, and 93.

Free veterinary examination for sacrificial animals and meat
Veterinary doctors at the Animal Market of Konya Metropolitan Municipality will provide free general examination, age determination, and pregnancy test with ultrasonography for animals until the last day of the holiday. During the holiday, standby veterinary doctors will provide free meat examination services for the sacrificial meats that citizens suspect of being diseased. Citizens can reach the standby veterinary doctors at 444 55 42.

The Metropolitan Municipality has made necessary arrangements to ensure that citizens can comfortably visit each other during the holiday using buses and trams. Public transportation vehicles operating with Sunday schedule throughout the holiday will be free on the first day of the holiday and 50% discounted on other days.

Konpark parking lots will be free on the eve and during the holiday
All closed and open parking lots under the name of Konpark within the Konya Metropolitan Municipality will be available for free from the eve until the end of the holiday. The Metropolitan Municipality, which carries out cleaning works for citizens to smoothly perform their cemetery visits, increase security measures, will respond to any complaints related to air and noise pollution during the holiday. Cleaning teams that started comprehensive cleaning works in the city center before the holiday will continue their work during the holiday.

Fire department on duty in 82 centers
The Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, which will continue its normal working hours during the holiday, will continue its operations in 82 centers in 31 districts. Citizens can report fire and similar disasters to the 112 Emergency Call Center. The Konya Metropolitan Municipality KOSKI General Directorate will provide 24-hour service for water, sewerage, and meter malfunctions throughout the city during the holiday. Citizens can call ALO 185 for water and sewerage malfunctions. The Metropolitan Municipality Inspection will continue its activities to respond to all kinds of complaints of citizens during the Eid al-Fitr. While the Bus, Environment, and Traffic Inspection will provide 24-hour service during the holiday; services will be provided between 08.00-22.00 in the Old Garage and Bedesten region, and between 09.00-23.00 in the Zafer Square region. The Metropolitan Municipality will also provide service with the Emergency Response Team that will instantly intervene in road, sidewalk, curb, and similar problems during the holiday. Citizens can report complaints related to municipal units during the holiday by calling 444 55 42 or Alo 153.
