The Environment Festival and Coffee Festival organized by Beylikdüzü Municipality turned into a colorful event. At the festival where participants had the opportunity to experience various types of coffee, the development process of coffee, its benefits to health and economy were discussed.

The Environment Festival and Coffee Festival organized by Beylikdüzü Municipality were filled with colorful scenes. At the festival, where participants had the opportunity to experience various types of coffee, discussions were also held on the development process of coffee, as well as its impact on health and the economy. Beylikdüzü Municipality’s Environment Festival and Coffee Festival, held at the Life Valley 1st Stage Canakkale Relief Area, attracted great interest from the citizens. The event, which started with the discussion ‘The 500-Year Story of Turkish Coffee and New Generation Production Techniques’ by Trainer and Author Atilla Yılmaz, featured discussions such as ‘Bean To Bar and Its Stages’ by Coşkun Sezer, ‘Coffee Pleasure with Two Friendly Dietitians’ by Dr. Dyt. Şefika Aydın Selçuk and Uzm. Dyt. Pınar Kural Enç, ‘Environmental Perspective on the Beverage Industry’ by Istanbul University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Nüket Sivri, ‘Coffee, Life, and Lifestyle’ by Sam Çeviköz, and ‘What is a Barista and What Do They Do’ by Hasan İskender, meeting coffee lovers. Participants at the festival had the opportunity to experience various hot and cold coffee types alongside traditional Turkish coffee. Recycling was emphasized as important during the 2-day festival; coffee production companies, thermos manufacturers, non-governmental organizations, universities, and educational institutions participated in the festival to raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection. Workshops were held at the festival focusing on the recycling of paper cups, plastic bottles, and straws used during coffee consumption. Citizens enjoyed clean air by exercising in the sports areas set up at the festival.
