Selçuk Municipality did not leave the Seljuk students who will take the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) alone this year as well. On June 8-9, a total of 350 Seljuk students and their families were transported to the exam centers in Tire and Torbalı with 20 vehicles departing from in front of the Municipality Service Building. The return of university candidate students and their families to Selçuk was also provided after the exam. Selçuk Deputy Mayor Bilgi Keskin bid farewell to the excited students with a success letter from Mayor Filiz.
“Above all, your existence is the most important thing” Mayor Filiz, who shared the excitement of the students who will take the university entrance exam, made them feel her support not only through the support posts she made on her social media accounts but also with the letter she prepared for the youngsters. In her letter, Selçuk Mayor Filiz Ceritoğlu Sengel mentioned that the university entrance exam they will take is a small step on the path they are preparing for their future, stating, “While experiencing an important day for your future with the university entrance exam you will take today, you are on the threshold of taking an important step on the path you set out with your dreams and efforts. You may be excited, or maybe a little anxious. Believe me, all of this is quite normal. I hope everything goes well for you. There is a long road ahead of you. While wishing you success in this exam, which is the current milestone of this road, I also want to say that this exam is just a small step on the long road of your future. Although the exam you will take today is an important threshold for your future, life carries a much deeper meaning beyond this exam. And above all, your existence is the most important thing in this life. I wish for everything that will be good for you to happen in the best way. Best wishes and love.” Mayor Filiz also conveyed her best wishes to the young people taking the university entrance exam through a video message on her social media accounts.
