The 3rd Traditional Hadith Text and Meaning Competition was organized among the hafiz students of Sumbul Valide Girls’ Quran School with the organization of Erzincan Provincial Mufti’s Office and Ihya Foundation. The competition, held at the Erzincan Provincial Mufti’s Conference Hall, took place in three different categories. Participants who memorized 40, 80, and 120 Hadith texts recited the Arabic text and Turkish meaning from memory in front of the jury. There were 5 candidates in each category. The program, which started with Quran recitation, included the screening of an introduction film of the Ihya Foundation. Recep Topal, the President of the Ihya Foundation in Erzincan, thanked all participants and supporters in his opening speech. Following him, the President of the Ilm Service and Solidarity Foundation (IHYA), Qur’an Hafiz Ibrahim Yildirim, expressed his gratitude for the participation and contributions to the Hadith competition. He emphasized the importance of Hadiths in understanding and living the religion. The Deputy Mufti of the Province, Medet Sahin, welcomed the guests and congratulated the participants, families, and organizers of the program. Erzincan Deputy Governor Omer Ozbay expressed his gratitude to those who contributed to the program and wished success to all participants in the Hadith competitions. The competition started with the recitation of 40 Hadith texts in Arabic followed by their explanation. Then, the same process was repeated for 80 and 120 Hadith texts with 5 students participating in each category. The jury members included academics from various universities. The winners of the competition from Sumbul Valide Girls’ Quran School received Umrah packages, gold coins, and gold as prizes. After the competition, certificates were presented to the students who completed the Quran recitation in one day. The program ended with the award ceremony for the successful students, a group photo session, and the opening of the botanical garden belonging to Sumbul Valide Sultan Girls’ Quran School, followed by refreshments.
