The Turkey Culture Road Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 16 cities for a duration of 8 months, aims to bring together art, culture, history in one place. As part of Turkey’s Largest Festival, the Bursa Culture Road Festival held in Bursa between June 1-9 brings together hundreds of events ranging from photo exhibitions to concerts, from theater to opera and ballet performances, from discussions to workshops, from children’s activities to digital arts with the people of Bursa.
Bursa’s newest institution in the field of culture and arts, Bursa Cinema and Photography Art Association (BURFOD), played an important role in organizing the photo events within the Culture Road Festival and in the participation of photo associations from neighboring cities in the festival alongside Bursa. The most comprehensive photo project exhibition of the festival ‘Art of Nature: Silk’ was opened for visit at Tofaş Anatolian Cars Museum.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey inaugurated the ‘Art of Nature: Silk’ photo exhibition within the scope of Bursa Culture Road Festival. Mentioning that the activities of civil society organizations in the field of culture and arts will give identity to cities, Mayor Bozbey stated that he believes BURFOD will play an important role in this area. Bozbey also emphasized the significance of BURFOD President Fahrettin Beceren choosing silk as the theme of the photo exhibition, stating that ‘We will do everything necessary to preserve our historical and cultural values such as silk and silk production in Bursa. In all our future art and cultural events, silk and our other cultural assets will take their deserved place.’
Praise from Governor Demirtaş
Bursa Governor Mahmut Demirtaş, who visited the ‘Art of Nature: Silk’ exhibition, received detailed information about the photos and the production stages of silk from BURFOD President Fahrettin Beceren. Emphasizing the importance of this exhibition for Bursa, Governor Demirtaş said, ‘I wish all the people of Bursa to see the photo frames representing the life cycle of the silkworm and the artistic beauties of this process, which showcase a delicate craft and the result of patience. I also congratulate our artists for their sensitivity in preserving our cultural values.’
Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Batuhan Mumcu, Bursa Provincial Director of Culture Kamil Özer, and many art lovers visited the ‘Art of Nature: Silk’ photo exhibition, which will remain open for visit at Tofaş Anatolian Cars Museum until June 9. Photo artist and BURFOD President Fahrettin Beceren stated, ‘We are proud that our exhibition has been visited by a wide range of audience from top protocol officials to elementary school students. Our exhibition will remain open for visit until October 1 after the Culture Road Festival. The intense interest we have seen so far has encouraged us for new national and international projects. We thank all art lovers and the people of Bursa.’
