As part of the Environmental Week Activities organized by the Municipality of Gaziosmanpaşa, an ‘Environmental Festival’ was held. Speaking at the event, the Mayor of Gaziosmanpaşa, Hakan Bahçetepe, said, ‘We must collaborate together for a green Gaziosmanpaşa, a green city for a green area for a sustainable future.’ The ‘Environmental Festival’ event was organized within the scope of the Gaziosmanpaşa Municipality Environmental Week Activities. The event aimed to increase environmental awareness among children and create awareness for a sustainable future, including a walk. The walk, attended by the Mayor of Gaziosmanpaşa, Hakan Bahçetepe, and his wife Gözde Bahçetepe, took place on Bağlarbaşı Avenue, with a large number of citizens present, and concluded in front of the municipal building. The event continued with students’ folk dance performances, a recycling parade, and the reading of poems on environmental topics.
‘We must collaborate together for a sustainable future, a green area, a green city, a green Gaziosmanpaşa.’ Speaking at the event, Mayor Hakan Bahçetepe stated, ‘We are trying to create awareness by organizing water saving campaigns and informative activities. We are spreading the Zero Waste consciousness in our district by providing education in schools, public institutions, and to our people. We are increasing the potential for cooperation with our people by expanding waste collection and recycling centers. We must collaborate together for a sustainable future, a green area, a green city, a green Gaziosmanpaşa.’ The program concluded with an award ceremony after the speech.
