Just a few days before the holiday in Kuşadası, the touristic district of Aydın, the occupancy rate in hotel reservations has reached 90%. Tacettin Özden, Vice President of the Turkish Hoteliers Federation (TÜROFED), stated, ‘The holiday has had a boosting effect on tourism in Kuşadası. I recommend those who have not yet reserved a place in hotels to act quickly as they may not find vacancies.’The Sacrifice Feast holiday has been extended to 9 days this year with a Presidential Decree. The Sacrifice Feast, coinciding with the closure of schools, creating the first holiday opportunity of the summer season, has had a boosting effect on tourism in Kuşadası. With early reservations made before the holiday, the occupancy rate of 5-star and boutique hotels in the city has reached 90%. It was noted that especially local guests from Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, and Bursa preferred Kuşadası for the holiday. In hotels operating on an ‘all-inclusive’ basis in Kuşadası, the lowest nightly accommodation price ranges from 2,500 to 7,000 TL. This amount can increase even further depending on the facilities offered by the touristic facility and its star rating. Along with the visitors expected during the Sacrifice Feast holiday, the population of Kuşadası is expected to reach up to 1.5 million.’Vacation opportunities for every budget’Tacettin Özden, Vice President of TÜROFED, advised those who will choose Kuşadası for the holiday to make early reservations to avoid any inconvenience. ‘The occupancy rates in our hotels in Kuşadası have now reached 90%. I believe we will operate at 100% capacity during the holiday. The extension of the holiday and its coincidence with the closure of schools play an important role in this. I also recommend those who have not reserved a place in hotels to act quickly as they may not find vacancies. There are vacation opportunities for every budget in Kuşadası,’ he said.’We are hopeful for the summer season’Tacettin Özden, Vice President of TÜROFED, drew attention to the arrival of foreign tourists in Kuşadası. ‘I believe we will achieve the target set by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for 60 million tourists and 60 billion dollars in tourism revenue this year. There is an increase in reservations made from Central Europe and the UK. In addition, the demands have increased as our expatriate guests have also started planning their holidays. As tourism professionals, we are quite hopeful for the summer season,’ he said.
