President Erdoğan welcomed President Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan with an official ceremony

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with an official ceremony. The cavalrymen, who welcomed the guest Uzbekistan President Mirziyoyev’s official vehicle on the street in front of the Presidential Complex, accompanied Mirziyoyev to the protocol gate. President Erdoğan welcomed Mirziyoyev at the main entrance of the Presidential Complex. After President Erdoğan and Mirziyoyev took their places at the ceremony area, the national anthems of both countries were played accompanied by a 21-gun salute. Mirziyoyev greeted the Guard of Honor with ‘Hello soldiers.’ Flags and soldiers representing the 16 Turkish states established throughout history were also present at the ceremony. Erdoğan and Mirziyoyev introduced their delegations to each other and posed for journalists on the stairs in front of the flags of Turkey and Uzbekistan. Erdoğan and Mirziyoyev proceeded to their one-on-one meeting, followed by bilateral and delegation-level talks, and will attend a joint press conference afterwards. The ceremony was attended by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, Head of Presidential Administrative Affairs Metin Kıratlı, President of Defense Industries Haluk Görgün, Presidential Security and Foreign Policy Advisor Akif Çağatay Kılıç, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, and President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.
