Mayor Günay, who saw tables being set up, awnings being installed, and materials polluting the beach, reacted by saying, ‘Enough is enough. What are you going to do with the money? We will beautify this place. Take everything away, let it be spotless. Do not put anything outside that you wouldn’t put inside.’
Güzelbahçe Mayor Mustafa Günay had promised to renew the 800-meter coastline as part of his election pledge. After being elected as mayor, Günay immediately instructed to start the works on the coastline that attracted attention with its poor appearance. While the works on the 10 million TL coastline project continue rapidly, municipal machinery and workers are diligently working on the site.
