Within the scope of the project “Women Produce, Special Provincial Administration Supports” carried out in cooperation with the Provincial Administration and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, 60 thousand strawberry seedlings were distributed to 10 female farmers who are members of the Kemer Asarcık Women’s Initiative Production and Operation Cooperative. With this distribution, a total of 6 thousand strawberry seedlings were provided to female farmers, and support was provided for them to be cultivated on 1-acre land each.
Support Statement from Governor Öksüz
Speaking at the program, Governor Türker Öksüz stated that the project aims to support agriculture and production, saying that the “Women Produce, Special Provincial Administration Supports” project started with strawberry production and they had previously implemented an olive cultivation project. Öksüz emphasized that they provided strawberry seedling support to contribute to the cooperative’s production and appreciated the solidarity of women entrepreneurs.
Governor Öksüz: “We appreciate the production of our women in the Asarcık cooperative and want to support it with strawberry cultivation.”
