CHP leader Özel: “It is time to lead Turkey and the key they hold is the key to the upcoming term of CHP government”

Republican People’s Party (CHP) Chairman Ozgur Ozel said, ‘After performing their duties for four years and winning hearts, it is time to govern Turkey with the party of the Republic, this is the key they hold in their hands, which is the key to the upcoming term of the CHP government.’ Ataturk Thought Association’s 17th Ordinary General Assembly was held. The Ordinary General Assembly, held at the Prof. Dr. Muammer Aksoy Campus, was attended by Republican People’s Party (CHP) Chairman Ozgur Ozel. Ozel stated that CHP emerged as the first party in the local elections on March 31, saying, ‘With the principles of populism in seven regions of Turkey, avoiding nepotism, favoritism, and cronyism, with the efforts of competent municipal mayors who are loyal to the founder of the modern Republic of Turkey, without favoring a leader or a community, there is no doubt that this party will win the first elections of the second century of the Republic and lead Ataturk’s party to power.’ Ozel, highlighting the importance of municipal mayors, said, ‘The key in the pockets of the mayors is the key to the CHP government.’ He added, ‘Support your mayors in your provinces and districts, help them, point out their shortcomings, make their good deeds visible.’ Ozel also mentioned Tayfun Kahraman, one of the Gezi Park detainees, and emphasized his sacrifice and contribution to society. In addition to CHP leader Ozgur Ozel, Inonu Foundation President Ismet Inonu’s daughter Ozden Toker, retired General Hurşit Tolon, and Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavas attended the general assembly.
