An award ceremony was held for the students who succeeded in the 2nd Stem Days organized by Erzurum Technical University (ETU) MUCITPARK Science and Idea Workshop. The program, held at the Faculty of Science Conference Hall, was attended by ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ceren Sultan Elmalı, MUCITPARK Science and Idea Workshop Coordinator Research Assistant Ali Necip Nursoy, children, instructors, and parents. Children who achieved success in various branches of science, from wood to virtual reality, robotic software to 3D modeling, video game development to humanoid robot and autonomous device production, to create awareness, received their awards from Rector Çakmak. Speaking at the program, Rector Çakmak stated that Stem Days bring children together with science and technology, saying: ‘Seeing the exciting work of young talents further strengthens my hopes for the future. Our children should not forget that our main goal here is to engage in scientific activities, learn, and improve. In the event, which we carried out in two stages, our children worked rigorously under the guidance of instructors, went through many stages, and made it this far today. It is impossible not to admire the perseverance and success shown by these young talents. A total of 8345 people participated as practitioners in the public part of our event, and we interacted with more than 30,000 visitors along with technology product stands. These numbers are an indicator of how comprehensive and interesting our event is. I thank our team, who act with the aim of bringing more people together with science every year, and congratulate all our children from the bottom of my heart.’ Following the speeches, Rector Çakmak and the instructors presented the children with their awards and took a commemorative photograph.
