The man who has been chasing the dream of getting a driver’s license for 13 years could not achieve his dream in the 18th exam he took

Abdurrahman Çelik, who lives in Hatay, has failed in all 18 exams he took in the past 13 years in pursuit of his dream of getting a driver’s license. Despite his efforts, Çelik, unable to succeed, expressed his feelings by saying, ‘I study day and night but it doesn’t work.’ Abdurrahman Çelik, aged 53 and living in the Kumlu district of Hatay, enrolled in a driving school in 2011 with the dream of obtaining a driver’s license and started taking exams. Continuously trying to achieve his dream, Çelik failed to succeed in the exams after taking 18 written exams in 13 years. Celik, most recently, also failed in the exam he took about the 5th file. Reacting to the difficulty of the exam, Celik said that he studies day and night but cannot succeed. Drawing attention to the difficulty of the driver’s license exam, Abdurrahman Çelik expressed that even doctors would have difficulty solving the questions, saying, ‘My situation regarding the driver’s license exam started in 2011. Between 2011 and 2024, I renewed my 5th file in these intervals. I just can’t pass the written exam. It’s because we don’t read much, I can’t understand what I read. Even if you ask a doctor, they wouldn’t know these questions.’ Celik, despite having a car, stated that he couldn’t use it and received a traffic fine for driving without a license before, mentioning that his neighbors take him from one place to another. He said, ‘I have a car in front of my house but I can’t use it. If my neighbors have a license, they take me to weddings, funerals, or elsewhere. My neighbors help me. I drove without a license before, got caught and fined. Since then, I haven’t been driving. When I first took the driver’s license exam, I was 40 years old, now I am 53. I have been unable to get a driver’s license for 13 years. I study the book given by the driving school, downloaded some programs on my phone to study from there. I study all of them but it just doesn’t work, I can’t pass the exam. I study day and night but it doesn’t work. My driving and steering are very good but I just can’t pass this written exam. That’s why I can’t get the license.’
