ŞOK Marketler continued to contribute to the economy with approximately 47,000 employees and investments in the first quarter of 2024, with a revenue of 37.2 billion TRY. Increasing the number of stores to 10,789 with new openings in the first three months of the year, ŞOK Marketler continues to offer essential products at affordable prices throughout Turkey with the principle of ‘not occasionally, but always cheap.’

In the first quarter of the year, an important investment was made in the technological infrastructure at ŞOK Marketler. A new interface update was made in the company’s e-commerce application ‘Cepte ŞOK.’ With the update made based on customer feedback, a delivery option within 60 minutes was offered through the application, improving the user experience. In addition to its successful mobile application, ŞOK Marketler organizes campaigns every week in different product groups and selected products and brands with its loyalty program called ‘Win.’ With Win, customers earn Win points as they shop for promotional products, and these earned points can be loaded into their Win wallets in Cepte ŞOK, allowing them to be used in both ŞOK stores and Cepte ŞOK for shopping.

The ‘I Am Also at ŞOK’ project supports women’s labor

As one of the companies that provide the most employment in Turkey with the highest increase in employment rate in 2023, ŞOK Marketler also leads the sector with a 54% female employee rate. On the other hand, with the ‘I Am Also at ŞOK’ project implemented in 2019 to empower women, it supports women in our country to contribute to the economy. In the first quarter of 2024, handcrafted products produced by women from women’s cooperatives in different regions, including earthquake-prone areas in Turkey, were put on sale at selected ŞOK stores within the scope of the project. The project contributes to the increase in female employment in cooperatives and the economic empowerment of women.

‘We will continue to improve the customer experience with our investments.’

Evaluating the financial results of the first quarter of 2024, ŞOK Marketler CEO Uğur Demirel stated that they continue to deliver quality products to consumers at affordable prices, saying, ‘As ŞOK Marketler, we always work to contribute to our country’s economy and our customers’ budget, constantly providing continuous affordability in basic products in all 81 provinces of our country, meeting these products with our customers at the most affordable prices possible. In this regard, we have reached a revenue of 37.2 billion TRY in the first quarter of 2024, continuing our growth. While continuing our store and warehouse investments at full speed, we aim to further improve the customer experience by offering a delivery option within 60 minutes through our mobile application Cepte ŞOK, which we updated the interface. In addition, with our Win program launched last year, we offer our customers the opportunity to use the quality product at an affordable price through their earned Win points in Win wallets. As ŞOK Marketler, with our slogan ‘not occasionally, but always cheap,’ we will continue to open new stores and increase our employment with the investments we will make in the upcoming period.’
