Ahmet Can Yücel is putting in effort for the National Team

Ahmet Can Yücel, the rising player from the youth academy of Çayırova Municipality Basketball Team, stated that his goal is to wear the jersey of the National A Team. Çayırova Municipality, continuing to train star athletes who shine in national and international arenas, provides young people with the opportunity to engage in sports. One of these names, Ahmet Can Yücel, who competed in the Turkish Basketball League with Çayırova Municipality Basketball Team last season, is preparing for the new season more ambitiously. Raised in the youth academy of Çayırova Municipality Basketball Team and having played in the A Team last season, Ahmet Can Yücel has set higher goals for the new season. After getting introduced to basketball in Çayırova and playing in the lower age categories of Çayırova Municipality basketball team for 2 years, Yücel, who has been promoted to the A team this year, aims to wear the jersey of the national team. Speaking about his basketball journey that started in Çayırova, Ahmet Can Yücel said, ‘I am 17 years old and have been living in Çayırova for 10 years. I have been interested in basketball for 9 years. I played in the youth academy in Çayırova for 2 years and promoted to the A team this season. This season was very good for me. I met with big names, I am now in the same team with my older brothers whom I watched on TV when I was little, playing on the same court, and this makes me very happy. I benefited from their experiences and learned very good things. Hopefully, I can make progress next year as well. As a young person from Çayırova, I want to make my name known throughout Turkey and play in the national A team.’
