The Education and Culture Activities titled ‘From Curriculum to Culture Generation’ were organized in collaboration with the Türkeli Municipality and the District Directorate of National Education in Sinop. The opening program of the Türkeli Education and Culture Days, held on 23-24 May 2024, was attended by the Mayor Veysel Şahin, District Director of National Education Recep Anar, branch managers, school administrators, teachers, and students. The opening speech was delivered by the District Director of National Education, Recep Anar, and the thank-you speech was given by the Mayor Veysel Şahin. Following the opening, expert participants conducted literary, performing arts, cinema, theater, voice and rhythm, meaning and questioning workshops with students for two days to enhance their cultural and artistic skills. During the events on 23-24 May, students spent pleasant time engaging in successful and diverse activities with expert participants. Before the closing ceremony, a poetry writing and reading competition on the theme of ‘Palestine’ was held among elementary, middle, and high school students in the district. All participating students and the winners of the composition-poetry writing and reading competitions in the 2023-2024 academic year were awarded prizes. In his closing speech, the District Director of National Education, Recep Anar, said: ‘Throughout the two days of activities we conducted in our district, we engaged students in reading-writing comprehension, theater, cinema, voice and rhythm studies. The aim of these activities is to contribute to the cultural and artistic development of our students through literary, performing arts, cinema, voice and rhythm, meaning and questioning workshops, helping them grow as individuals with ideals of working for their country, nation, and humanity, embracing our national and spiritual values, and becoming the artists and art lovers of the future. I thank Türkeli Municipality, my colleagues in administration and teaching, and the guests from different parts of our country for their contributions to this endeavor.’
