Message of support for Palestine from the ATO delegation at the Turkish Day Parade in New York

Chairman of Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) Gürsel Baran and his delegation participated in the 41st Traditional New York Turkish Day Parade with scarves bearing Turkish and Palestinian flags with the inscription “We Are All Palestinian”, showing support for Palestine. Chairman Gürsel Baran and Vice Chairman of ATO Board Temel Aktay, along with Board Members Adem Ali Yılmaz and Nihat Uysallı, attended the activities of the “41st Traditional New York Turkish Day Parade” organized in New York City, USA under the coordination of the Presidency of Communications with scarves bearing Turkish and Palestinian flags with the inscription “We Are All Palestinian”, delivering a message of support to Palestine. Chairman Baran, wearing the “We Are All Palestinian” scarf, took the stage and gave a speech at the event.
During the event, AK Party Deputy Chairman Nihat Zeybekci, Turkey’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Ambassador Ahmet Yıldız, Deputy Head of Communications Presidency Çağatay Özdemir, Turkey’s Ambassador to Washington Sedat Önal, and New York Consul General Reyhan Özgür, as well as the President of the Turkish American Associations Federation (TADF) Gülay Aydemir, were also present. Baran was presented with a plaque by the Turkish American Associations Federation during the program.
Commenting on the matter, Chairman Baran stated that the Turkish Day Parade, which has become one of the most important events of the Turkish-American community in the USA, is a significant event that provides an opportunity to introduce Turkish culture to the American society and showcase various aspects of the Turkish community. He noted that the event, attended by thousands of people, is also of interest to the American society. Baran expressed, “As Ankara Chamber of Commerce, we wanted to draw attention to and show support for the atrocities committed by Israel against the Palestinian people in front of the eyes of the world by participating in this important event wearing scarves bearing Turkish and Palestinian flags with the inscription ‘We Are All Palestinian’. Wherever we are in the world, our minds and hearts are with our Palestinian brothers and sisters. I hope this massacre will end soon.”
“We support the measures”. Baran emphasized that Turkey’s decision to suspend commercial relations with Israel in response to the inhumane treatment in Palestine and the oppression in Gaza is the most concrete evidence of the support for the Palestinian cause. He stated, “As the business world, we stand behind the decision of our state, which stands by Gaza in this difficult test and raises its voice against inhumane practices, and we support the measures taken. We will continue to voice the just cause of Palestine in every platform and every medium.”
