Founder of Hareketçözer Special Education System and Content World, Physical Education Teacher Halil Timur stated that families with special children in neurological diagnoses have been searching for education methods that elevate cognitive development to the highest level lately. Timur mentioned that movement educations are the most popular and preferred trainings that significantly increase the quality of life of special needs children facing perception, social adaptation, and communication problems for diagnoses such as autism, Down syndrome, learning difficulties, attention deficit and hyperactivity, mental retardation, and rare disease group.
Founder of Hareketçözer Special Education System and Content World, Physical Education Teacher Halil Timur expressed that it is possible to increase mental performance through movement and skill education. Timur stated that skills provide information to individuals about how the mind works and develops. Emphasizing that skill education is very effective in improving the quality of life in children, Timur said, ‘Our quality of life depends on what we can do, in this sense, our thoughts, dreams are closely related to our skills.’
‘The golden rule of development is purpose-oriented trainings.’ Timur pointed out that especially after the pandemic period, attention deficit has become more common in children and although this attention deficit is a separate diagnosis, it mostly accompanies other diagnoses. He highlighted that in cases where a child has several diagnoses at the same time, the struggle is more difficult and more intensive training may be required.
Timur stated that ADHD diagnosis is an easier and more manageable diagnosis and clear results are obtained from the programs. Expressing that humans are living beings programmed to move, Timur added that movement and play have gained significant momentum in child development in recent years. Timur stated that movement-based, interesting games without pressure and coercion are children’s favorites. He underlined the importance of integrating children with special needs into society, saying that with the right perspective, the quality of life of children can be greatly improved.
