President Buyukkilic participated in the Union of Municipalities of Turkey Council Member elections

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç participated in the election where representatives of Kayseri at the Union of Municipalities of Turkey for the new term would be determined, and casted his vote. Following the TBB member elections where Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, along with Melikgazi, Kocasinan, and Talas, are natural members, 10 principal and 5 substitute members were determined. The election took place at Kadir Has Congress Center Erciyes Hall under the chairmanship of Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, attended by district mayors and council members. Addressing the council members as the chairman, Mayor Büyükkılıç stated, “By earning a place in hearts, we will continue to serve the beautiful people of our 1.5 million Kayseri.” He then provided information to the council members about the Union of Municipalities of Turkey’s activities, structure, and operations. Later, members representing Kayseri at the Union of Municipalities of Turkey Council were selected through an election. Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, Melikgazi Mayor Mustafa Palancıoğlu, Kocasinan Mayor Ahmet Çolakbayrakdar, and Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın, who are natural members, were elected as 10 principal and 5 substitute members for the TBB Council Membership through a secret ballot. Mayor Büyükkılıç announced that Hacılar Mayor Bilal Özdoğan, İncesu Mayor Mustafa İlmek, Develi Mayor Adem Şengül, Yeşilhisar Mayor Halit Taşyapan, Yahyalı Mayor Esat Öztürk, Sarıoğlan Mayor Bekir Ayyıldırım, Özvatan Mayor Halit Demir, Bünyan Mayor Selahattin Metin, İncesu Council Member Hulusi Çavdar, and Yeşilhisar Council Member Burhanettin Bolat were elected as principal members by receiving 166 votes each. In the elections, Develi Council Member Fahri Yıldırım, Felahiye Mayor Şeref Güleser, Akkışla Mayor Mustafa Dursun, Sarız Mayor Ömer Faruk Eroğlu, and Tomarza Mayor Osman Koç were elected as substitute members. Büyükkılıç expressed wishes for the elections to be auspicious and successful, stating that they will represent Kayseri in the best way at the Union of Municipalities of Turkey.
