Let the Girls Dance Project
Dalsın Kızlar Project is an impressive initiative that aims to support young girls in discovering their potential in technology and science fields. Within the project, mentorship is provided to young girls and inspiring activities are organized.
As part of the ‘Let the Girls Dive’ project, which will be organized for the second time, women who will dive for the first time will come together to clean plastic bags and PET bottles underwater during the dive. The second edition of the ‘Let the Girls Dive’ project, which was first organized in July 2019 in Marmaris, Turkey, will take place this year between June 7-9 in Antalya, Side.
Project Objectives
The aim of the project is to increase the number of women divers by bringing together women who have not dived before, introducing them to the colorful world underwater. During the dive, women will collect plastic waste and PET bottles underwater to raise awareness about sea pollution.
Event Details
Within the project, women aged 15 and over whose health conditions are suitable for diving can apply. Certified female divers will accompany women who have not dived before. Women who will dive for the first time will be encouraged by their fellow women, and female solidarity will be established underwater.
Environment and Awareness
Through the underwater event, attention will be drawn to waste such as plastic bags and PET bottles to create awareness about sea pollution. Gaye Dülger, the founder of the project, stated that besides the project’s aim, it also aims to draw attention to plastic waste found underwater and in nature.

It was mentioned that those who want to participate in ‘Let the Girls Dive’ can apply through the project’s website. All women whose health conditions are suitable are invited to participate in the project.
