The father of the President’s Chief of Staff Hasan Doğan was bid farewell on his final journey by his loved ones. The father, who was laid to rest with a ceremony held in Izmir, was remembered with prayers.

Osman Doğan, the father of President’s Special Clerk Director Hasan Doğan, passed away while receiving treatment at Ankara Bilkent City Hospital. His death was announced by the Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca. Koca stated, ‘Our esteemed elder Osman Doğan, our uncle, was under treatment in the intensive care unit of Bilkent City Hospital. I am deeply saddened by his loss. I extend my condolences to his son and Turkey’s Presidential Special Clerk Director, Ambassador Hasan Doğan, as well as to all his family and loved ones.’
Burial Process
The funeral of Osman Doğan was brought to Ankara Hacı Bayram-ı Veli Mosque today after the midday prayer. The funeral prayer was led by the President of Religious Affairs, Ali Erbaş. Osman Doğan, who was laid to rest, was accompanied by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdülkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, AK Party Deputy Chairman Hamza Dağ, AK Party General Secretary Fatih Şahin, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, and many other political figures.
- Following the funeral prayer, the body of Osman Doğan was taken to the village of Yukarı Çanlı in Kızılcahamam district of Ankara to be buried after the afternoon prayer.
