Duzce Municipality Fire Department Rescued a Little Sparrow

Düzce Municipality Fire Department inspected the roofs to find the nest of a baby sparrow in a citizen’s garden. However, when the nest could not be found, the little sparrow was handed over to the Nature Conservation and National Parks Düzce Branch Directorate.

Fire Department Teams Took Action

Responding to a call made by a citizen on social media, the Düzce Municipality Fire Department teams initiated efforts to find the nest of the baby sparrow that fell into a garden in Azmimilli Neighborhood. Despite lengthy searches, the nest could not be found, so the sparrow was taken to the fire department building.

Little Sparrow Handed Over to Nature Conservation and National Parks

The little sparrow was handed over to the teams of the Nature Conservation and National Parks Düzce Branch Directorate. Yeliz Kan, the citizen who found the sparrow, thanked the fire department teams saying, ‘We found it while going to the market with my daughter. We love birds very much. I couldn’t leave it on its own, and since I couldn’t put it back in its nest with my own means, I asked for help from the fire department teams. The teams arrived but we couldn’t find the nest. They took the sparrow and handed it over to the Nature Conservation and National Parks. Thank you all,’
