Warning from Meteorologist Expert Fevzi Burak Tekin
Meteorologist Expert Fevzi Burak Tekin stated that a decrease in air quality and visibility is expected due to the desert dust coming from the north of Africa and Syria. He emphasized that citizens need to be careful.
We Will Be Under the Influence of Desert Dust
Weather Forecast Expert Tekin mentioned that Turkey will be under the influence of desert dust in the coming days. He said that dust will be particularly strong in the Eastern Mediterranean and Southeastern Anatolia regions and warned against negative effects such as a decrease in air quality and visibility.
Rainy System is Coming
Tekin announced that a new rainy system will come to Turkey. He stated that the rains coming from the Central Mediterranean will be effective in regions such as Marmara, Aegean, and Western Mediterranean on Friday. He also mentioned that the rain will spread over a wide area during the weekend.
Severe Storm Warning
In the western parts of the country, Tekin warned that the rainy system coming from the Central Mediterranean could bring severe storms. He expressed that on Friday, strong, occasionally stormy winds are expected from the north in the Marmara and Northern Aegean coasts, and from the south in the southwestern parts of the Western Mediterranean and Central Anatolia.
Storms are also expected at sea. On Saturday, storms are expected to blow in the Western Black Sea, Marmara, Aegean, and Western Mediterranean. He emphasized the need for sailors to be cautious.
