Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin Met with Teachers in Diyarbakır
Minister of National Education, Yusuf Tekin, met with teachers in Diyarbakır. He evaluated the developments in education and listened to the problems of teachers.
Minister of National Education, Yusuf Tekin, met with his colleagues in Diyarbakır within the scope of the ‘Teachers’ Room Meetings’ program. Minister Tekin, who meets with teachers in different cities on the first Saturday of each month, met with teachers in Diyarbakır at the historical İçkale Open Air Museum.
Statements by Minister Tekin and Teachers’ Opinions
Expressing his happiness to be in Diyarbakır, reflecting the ancient heritage, Minister Tekin emphasized that they determine their routes in education together with the teachers. Minister Tekin stated that there would be no changes in lesson durations regarding the new curriculum and listened to teachers’ opinions on the new educational program. Teachers expressed that simplifying the curriculum was a wise step.
- Responding to a question about teacher appointments, Minister Tekin stated that the number of teachers to be appointed on Monday and the distribution of quotas by subject area would be announced.
- Providing information about the Law on Teaching Profession, Minister Tekin said that the new law covers many issues from teachers’ rights, duties, and responsibilities to in-service training.
Thanking the teachers for their support, Minister Tekin emphasized that he would continue to protect the rights of teachers. Emphasizing the importance of working in unity and solidarity, Minister Tekin called on teachers to work diligently.
