President Büyükkılıç: “Kayseri is eagerly waiting for our national team”

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç stated that approximately 33,000 fans are eagerly awaiting the crucial match of the Turkish National Football Team against Wales on November 16 in Group 4 of the UEFA Nations League B, and that improvements to the stadium’s field are being made.

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç stated that approximately 33,000 fans are eagerly waiting for the crucial match of the Turkish National Football Team against Wales on November 16 in the UEFA Nations League Group B4, noting that the stadium has undergone ground improvement and the grass has been renewed with a hybrid system.

In Kayseri, which has been awarded the title of Best European Sports City of the Year, the sports organization Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Sports Inc. continues to carry out sports activities effectively and qualitatively without interruption. In this context, the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality has completed the works at RHG Enertürk Energy Stadium under the instructions of Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç. Expressing his satisfaction with the city’s hosting of this important match, Büyükkılıç thanked the Turkish Football Federation, stating, “I thank the Turkish Football Federation for awarding the national match against Wales to our Kayseri.”

“This match will be worthy of our peaceful city Kayseri”
Büyükkılıç emphasized that Kayseri has always been a cheering host for national matches, saying, “We want to send our national team, which is leading the group after defeating Iceland 4-2 in the last match, back as leaders from Kayseri again. Kayseri is eagerly waiting for our national team. On November 16, the people of Kayseri will support this match with national excitement, waving our crescent-starred flag, and hopefully we will leave with a beautiful result. This match will be worthy of our peaceful city Kayseri.”

“Our stadium meets UEFA and FIFA standards”
Providing information about the works carried out by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Sports Inc. at RHG Enertürk Energy Stadium, Mayor Büyükkılıç stated that the stadium has been made compliant with UEFA and FIFA standards. He expressed that a comprehensive improvement work has been carried out on the pitch of the stadium, which has a capacity of 32,864 spectators, saying, “Ground improvement and grass seeding works have been completed. The existing pitch level has been lowered by 10 centimeters, and it has been shaped into a cradle roof format with a laser leveling machine, and a total of 7,848 square meters of grass has been sown. A ground composed of a combination of natural and artificial grass has been prepared with a hybrid system.” Büyükkılıç noted that this hybrid system has progressed without issues, and there has been no negative feedback from UEFA or TFF during the inspections. He also mentioned that all seats in the stadium have been painted, and maintenance works related to the pitch continue regularly, with great satisfaction reported from the four matches played so far.

Büyükkılıç also added that on Saturday, November 16, free and easy transportation will be provided to fans with a Passolig card between 18:00 and 22:30 with rail system vehicles.
