Puddles Negatively Affected Transportation
The heavy rain, which was effective in many districts of Bursa, sometimes turned into hail. Puddles formed in various streets of the city due to clogged sewers. Vehicles had difficulty in moving due to the puddles.
Drivers Complain About Transportation Issues
Transportation driver Sait Durdu said, ‘The heavy rain that started an hour ago later turned into hail. Especially in the narrow streets of Demirtaş Neighborhood, puddles formed. Transportation was disrupted, and some vehicles got stranded. We had difficulty in carrying out our work. We face such problems due to infrastructure deficiencies. Despite being one of the major industrial zones of Bursa, Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone, which is the heart of the textile sector, is not in a good condition due to today’s rain. Export activities were affected on Friday, which is the day for exports. A solution to this problem should be found as soon as possible,’ he said.
