The Turkey A National Football Team’s fifth match in the UEFA Nations League Group B will be played on Saturday at the RHG Enertürk Energy Stadium. As preparations continue, the stadium is on alert with a capacity of 32,864. All seats in the stadium have been wiped and cleaned, and the grass, which has undergone maintenance, is now ready. Stadium Manager Ali Yılmaz provided information about the works, stating, “Now our preparations for the national match are as follows; we made our main preparations at the beginning of the season. The seats have been painted, as you know. The grass surface was changed, which is one of our most important changes. In addition to that, after the national match was confirmed here, we intensified the grass maintenance a bit more. It is in very good condition right now. We also received positive feedback from the TFF inspectors. Apart from that, there were also small changes we made. We expanded the guest stand entrance. We made an expansion in the broadcasting area. Thanks to the support of our municipality, we managed to clean the entire stadium. We are now ready for the match. The stadium will be full. We are also very excited. It’s been over 10 years. A national match will be played here for the first time. The stadium is ready, but the most important thing here is the audience. We expect the support of the audience here. 32,000 people need to show themselves here, with their voices, visuals, and actions, to ensure the continuation of such organizations. That’s the most important thing. We expect this from the audience. We expect both demand and a lively match. There will be flag distribution. About 20,000 to 30,000 flags will be distributed to almost everyone. In addition, a large flag will be opened in the natural stand. Our flag will be displayed during the National Anthem and then will be collected. The match will continue after that,” he stated.
Pastirma sellers are waiting for national team supporters.
On the other hand, the pastirma sellers in the city are hopeful about the match. Yasin Güzel, a pastirma seller, noted that the tickets for the match sold out quickly, stating that the match would commercially benefit the city. “Before business, we have a certain excitement within us. Having a national match given to Kayseri after 10 years is a great happiness for us. In addition, of course, there will be visitors from nearby provinces such as Nevşehir, Aksaray, Niğde, and Yozgat. They will undoubtedly contribute to our city economically and commercially. Moreover, it is a national match. We all unite for a team for a match. We are eagerly waiting for Saturday. If you ask for my prediction, I think we will win 2-1. I believe the stadium will be full. If the stadium is full and we support the team with the cheers, I believe the team will do what is necessary. As we said, it is also great that it falls on the weekend for us. We have expectations for Friday and Saturday. We think people will wander and shop in the center until the match time. That’s why we are excitedly waiting. It had been 10 years since the last one; we missed it a lot. We are very happy that this match has been given to our stadium again. Also, it is an important match for us. If we win, we will guarantee our place in the groups. That is why we are very happy and very excited.”
