Vodafone Turkey announced its results for the first half of the 2024-2025 fiscal year (April-September 2024). The company’s service revenues amounted to 42.1 billion TL during this period. On the other hand, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) reached 15 billion TL. Adjusted service revenues excluding the impact of IAS 29 (International Accounting Standard 29 on Financial Reporting in Hyperinflationary Economies) were recorded as 39.5 billion TL, while EBITDA was noted as 17.1 billion TL.
Increase in subscriber numbers
Vodafone Turkey’s mobile subscriber base reached 25.4 million, while the total mobile subscriber count, including M2M (Machine-to-Machine), reached 30.4 million. The company raised its postpaid subscriber count to 20.2 million. Continuing its efforts to provide the best service to its users in broadband technologies, the company’s fixed broadband subscriber number stood at 1.4 million.
Digital user count reaches 17.6 million
The company, which continues its operations with a focus on digitalization across all channels, saw the number of monthly active users utilizing digital channels such as Vodafone Yanımda and Online Self Service reach 17.6 million. The total monthly engagement of users utilizing the company’s digital channels reached 304 million.
Increase in data usage
In the first six months of the fiscal year, the total mobile data usage of users increased to 2,520 petabytes.
Growth in digital services
The online shopping platform “Her Şey Yanımda” launched through the Vodafone Yanımda mobile application reached 52 million visits in the first half of the 2024/25 fiscal year, approaching a total of 275 million visits since its launch. The total number of users utilizing the company’s next-generation mobile financial solution, Vodafone Pay, reached 8.3 million. The monthly unique user count for the company’s personal digital assistant TOBi, which can perform nearly 1,000 different transactions, was 8.5 million, with a total of 30 million chats per month.
Vodafone Turkey CEO Engin Aksoy evaluated the results for the first half of the 2024-25 fiscal year as follows: “As Vodafone, we continue to contribute to Turkey’s digital and sustainable future. In the first half of our fiscal year, our service revenues amounted to 42.1 billion TL. During this period, our monthly active customer count using our digital channels reached 17.6 million.
